Effective October 14, 2026 · Last updated October 14, 2026

The short version

Delete your account in the app: Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. No app? Email us from the steps below. Either way, your account and everything you posted is deleted.

This page explains how deletion works. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

1. In the app#

  1. Open Flick'd Up and tap Profile.
  2. Tap the Settings icon.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm.

2. Without the app#

Email hello@flickdup.com with the subject "Delete my account". Tell us your username, or the phone number on the account. We'll confirm the request comes from the account's owner before we delete anything, then delete the account within 30 days.

3. What gets deleted#

  • Your phone number, date of birth, username, display name and profile photo.
  • Every moment you posted, including in other people's experiences and saved experiences.
  • Your captions, comments, reactions and messages.
  • Your friends list, friend requests and saved experiences.
  • Experiences you created pass to the member who has been in them longest. If nobody else is in one, it's deleted.

If you sign up again later with the same phone number, you'll start with a new, empty account.

4. What we keep#

  • Backups. Copies in our database backups expire within 14 days. Deleted photos keep a recovery copy for up to 30 days, so a mistake can be undone, then they're erased for good.
  • Your agreement to our terms. Which version you agreed to and when, without your name or number.
  • Reports. Reports made by or about your account, without the reported content.
  • Abuse records. If your account was suspended for breaking our rules, we keep a scrambled code of your phone number, so the account can't simply be recreated.
  • Legal holds. Information we're legally required to keep.

Content that other people screenshotted or recorded before you deleted your account is outside our control.

5. How long it takes#

Deletion starts right away and finishes within 30 days. Database backups expire 14 days after that, and photo recovery copies within 30 days. If you used email, we'll confirm when your account is deleted.
