1. Be real#
- Use your own account and your own phone number.
- Don't pretend to be someone else.
- Post moments you took yourself, inside the app.
2. Respect the people in your shots#
- Your moment shows the scene and you. Other people end up in it too. If someone asks you not to post them, don't.
- Never share intimate images of anyone without their consent.
- Don't share where someone lives, their phone number, or anything else private about them.
- Everyone in an experience sees every moment at the reveal. Post knowing that.
3. Not allowed, ever#
These get your account closed. We report them to the authorities where the law requires.
- Any sexual content involving someone under 18, or anything that sexualizes or puts a minor in danger.
- Threats of violence against a person.
- Sharing intimate images without consent.
- Selling drugs, weapons or other illegal goods.
4. Not allowed#
- Nudity or sexual content.
- Bullying, harassment, or piling on someone.
- Hate speech, or attacks on people for who they are.
- Content that encourages self-harm, or dangerous stunts.
- Spam, scams, or fake giveaways.
- Adding people to experiences who didn't ask to be there.
- Contacting someone who blocked you, through a new account or anything else.
- Posting someone else's copyrighted work as your own.
5. Hosting experiences#
- Public is on the map. Anyone 18 or older can see a public experience and exactly where it is. Make one public only if you're happy for anyone to come and ask to join.
- Only your place, or one you're allowed to share. Don't put someone else's home on the map. If the app says a place looks like a home address, take that seriously.
- Name pins plainly. "The field behind school" is fine. A pin name shouldn't give away someone's address or other private details.
- Real experiences only. No fake experiences, bait, or experiences set up to find or follow someone.
- Look after your guests. You choose who joins. Turn down anyone who makes people unsafe, and report them.
6. Reporting#
On a moment, tap the ••• button, then Report or block. On a comment, tap the flag next to it. On a message, press and hold it. On a chat in Chats, press and hold it. On an experience you're not hosting, tap the flag at the top. On the map, open an experience and tap •••, then Report experience. On a profile, tap ••• on the person's profile or search result. Pick the reason that fits best.
The person you report isn't told who reported them.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number first.
7. What happens after a report#
- A person on our team reviews the report. We aim to do this within 24 hours.
- Reported content is kept while we review it, even if it would otherwise expire.
- If it breaks these guidelines, we:
- remove it;
- may warn, limit, suspend or close the account, depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before.
We don't send reporters the outcome of a report.
You can also block anyone. They won't be able to message you, add you or invite you, and you won't see each other's moments, comments or reactions. You can undo a block in Settings, then Blocked.
8. Appeals#
If we removed your content or suspended your account and you think we got it wrong, email hello@flickdup.com within 30 days. Include your username. A different person from the one who made the first decision will review it, and we'll tell you the outcome.
